Join the President's Advisory Council
How would you like to have the ear of the President?
Do you believe you have a perspective that promotes the views that benefit the College?
Would you like to have the opportunity to influence decisions the President makes?
By joining the new President’s Advisory Council (PAC), you have the opportunity to do all of the above.
I am excited to invite NorQuest students and employees to join the group. I am very interested in the opinions of diverse communities within the College. While I have access to senior management and other groups, there hasn’t been a formal way for me to discuss issues with others in the College – to find out what is happening with students, or to hear first-hand about your issues and successes.
I am looking for 13-15 people, including two students and the manager of the student council, to meet with me four times a year for a couple of hours for a discussion. This is a unique opportunity for you to get involved in shaping the College’s future. The term of student appointments will be discussed at the first meeting.
Application Process
If you would like to join the President’s Advisory Council and to work with students and employees in influencing change and improving NorQuest College, please:
1. Review the Terms of Reference
2. Review the Expression of Interest document
3. Complete the Expression of Interest Application Form
Expression of Interest applications will be accepted up to 1:00 p.m. on September 7, 2010. A selection panel will review all applications and select Council members using the membership criteria as a guide, ensuring there is wide representation from across the College. All applicants will be notified of their standing no later than Monday September 13, 2010. The first meeting scheduled for the PAC will be September 16, 2010.
