Alumni Association
The
NorQuest College Alumni Association has a proud history in Alberta.
In 2005, NorQuest celebrates 40 years of inspiring student
success. Formerly known as Alberta Vocational College – Edmonton,
the College became a public, board governed institution in 1998, changing
its name to NorQuest College the following year. To date, more than 3,000
former staff and students have registered in the NorQuest College Alumni
Association.
Alumni play an integral part in advancing the College.
Members of the association work closely with our Community Relations and
Communications team to raise the public profile of the College. This is
accomplished through educating politicians, media, business leaders, and
future donors of the achievements of NorQuest and its students.
And we have lots of fun along the way. The Alumni Association
welcomes new members and encourages former staff and students to stay
connected to the College by volunteering at various events that assist
new generations of students. Our newsletters and Community Reports keep
members informed about upcoming College activities and events.
Madeline Needhan is the chairperson of the NorQuest
Staff Alumni Association. Madeline, now retired, worked at NorQuest for
26 years, forming lasting friendships with staff, students, and community
members.
Susan Waters is the chairperson of the NorQuest Student
Alumni Association. Susan just can’t seem to leave this place and
we’re thrilled to have her. A former nursing student, Susan now
works as an educational assistant in the Licensed Practical Nurse program.
