SCES provides the following services:
Employment Preparation
- Creating, developing and editing resumes and cover letters
- Assisting with application forms
- Preparing for job interviews
- Conducting mock interviews
- Assisting with portfolio development
- Assisting with volunteer opportunity searches
Job Search
- Providing effective job search techniques
- Registering students on WorkopolisCampus
- De-briefing interviews
Career Planning
- Assisting with the career planning and decision making process
- Providing up-to-date labour market, education and training information
- Preparing for informational interviews
Other Services
- SCES provides computer access for job searching and career planning purposes
- SCES has information on job searching (WorkpolisCampus and The Edmonton Journal), occupational research and educational planning
- Consultants facilitate presentations and workshops to groups on all employment and career planning topics
- SCES organizes job fairs throughout the year for students looking for full-time or part-time employment
